A test of the Google trends exploration web app
I admit that I don't know much about Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, or Demi Lovato. Actually, I know next to nothing except that there are millions of people submitting their names as Google search terms. The above graph show search interest in comparative scale (0-100).
This geo graphic indicates that Brazilians (as a percentage of Google users) are more than twice as interested in these five celebrities than Americans.
Here is one more search term comparison with Hosni Mubarak, Vladimir Putin, and Bashar al-Assad as the search terms. It is interesting that Bashar al-Assad did not achieve the level of interest as former dictator Mubarak nor President Putin despite several years of civil war and the potential use of chemical weapons.
